One of our most popular resources is the Web Design Contract Template. Legal resources are important for protecting yourself, but not all designers provide services directly to clients. If you run a site that sells templates or themes to customers you will need to have terms and conditions that customers agree to before making a purchase.

We had an attorney draft this terms and conditions document with theme sellers in mind. It covers issues related your customers’ use of your website and protects your rights regarding the use of your templates. The template comes in Word and Open Office formats and in a few places there are instructions for you to enter your own details to complete and customize the document. After you’ve customized the document, place the text on your site and have customers agree to the terms when making a purchase.

The download also includes a copyright notice that is advised to be displayed on your website as well.
